What I want to know is how a company that so routinely screws its customers can actually make money... (besides a whore house... I guess that's the whole point). These idiots have been down significantly throughout the entire time I've been with them. I host many websites and have therefore lost a few clients (that's something I'm trying to do as little of as possible at this point in my life). Every time I emailed them about the downtime, they had some cheezy excuse like they were "performing routine maintenance" (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKIN BUSINESS DAY?!?!). When I called them on this, I sent several emails to them, citing their "99.998%" guarantee and demanding my money back because of the outrageous downtime... more emails about "we're sorry for the inconvenience... we'll do better in the future". Well LA-DE-FREAKIN'-DA. Still working on trying to get refunded... DON'T HOST WITH THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE DRIVING THROUGH A CORNFIELD WITH YOUR BARE BUTT HANGING OUT THE WINDOW. |

I signed up with them on March 4th, and was told via email that my service would be ready within 24 hours. On March 6th I replied to the email stating that I would be up and running within 24 hours, and simply asked when I would get service, due to the fact that it had been well over 24 hours, closer to 48 hours and had not yet received service. I received and email that same day stating that they are attempting to set up my service and to "please bare with us". I replied with a simple thank you and a small note that I had mis-typed my domain name. (Which is no big deal considering it takes about 30 seconds to fix, even if they had set me up.). On March 8th, I again requested to know when my service would me set up, and entered a support ticket on their website. I was told that I should respond with my domain and that the issue would be forwarded to the correct person and that someone would get back to me. I would be set up ASAP. I responded with my domain name on March 8th. And sent a follow up email asking how long ASAP is? On March 8th, I was sent a cookie cutter response from "Lisa" stating that they are working on it. On March 9th, I sent an email stating that since no one has gotten back to me, I have hosted with another company and that I do not want to be billed as I have yet to receive service. On March 17th I received an email that was supposed to be sent to me on March 6th, stating that I had service and here is my login information. I simply responded that I do not want the service they are offering me as the customer support is the worst I have ever seen. I also stated that they are not to bill me. I expected to receive some sort of "how can we make you stay with us" type of email, but on March 21st, I received a bill for two months worth of service. Fucking amazing.... I sent an email today, stating that I had requested no service on March 9th and March 17th, just simply cancel my order. I had already found a new host and had already set up my account and have site up and running. (6 to be exact). I followed this up with a support ticket via their website. I get a response stating that "they are going to forward it to the correct people... I would highly recommend that you never ever host or tell anyone to host with imhosted.com. There customer service, and I use that term lightly, is by far the worst customer service I have ever seen. |
