Well, after a month without e-mail and no responses to any inquiries, my e-mail accounts seem to be back up. Still no website, though. And Sharp Web Services seems to have taken theirs down. I've been with them for 4 years, with no problems until recently. When I renewed in January, they double-billed me for a year's worth of hosting, and they don't answer the phone or respond to e-mails. At least I only had 1 site, with no database, so I didn't lose a whole lot. I feel for those of you who did lose everything on your sites.

They are gone. No messages, no phone, no e-mail. I somehow was able to connect to my site through FTP the last days of their existence though my site was not viewable on the net. I downloaded everything, got my databases from SQL servers and mdb's from the site. God was watching out for me. Because the next day, NOTHING! Sorry to all of you who lost everything. Do I hear CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE? Contact me at swslawsuite@tennsoft.com and I'll talk to a lawyer I know.

I had over 20 web sites with sharpwebservices.com. Large databases, webmails (over 1000 addresses), more than 5000 pages, etc. ALL GONE!. Sine 8 days ago, this hosting provider simply disappeared from the face of the earth. Their web site is gone, no emails, no phone number to call. IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THEM AT ALL, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. PLEASE HELP SINCE I AM IN BIG TROUBLE.

The WORST rip off company around. No support, no return responses and they will hold your domain name hostage if you try to leave. Also, they set up your account to rebill and my repeated request to make sure my account is closed have been left unanswered. Tell anyone you know NOT TO USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.

I have several database driven sites at SharpWebServices. They have always worked well. Since Saturday, they have simply disappeared. I'm really writing this to see if anyone else knows anything about them. I could move the Web sites to a new location, but if we do, we have lost the database info that we have on their database servers. That will be a big loss. If anyone knows anything about the service, I would really appreciate the information.

I've been using sharpweb for a year and a half and while communications have never been good, it appears that Saturday May 2, 2004 may have been the final call for these folks. They have simply vaporized, their site is no longer online, emails go unanswered, phones disconnected, etc. Zero notice, and zero data recovery. If this place happens to come back - I would hihgly advise steering clear regardless of pricing.
